Beaches & Water · Durrat Al Bahrain · South Bahrain

Durrat Marina sits at the heart of Durrat Al Bahrain, the island resort community at the southern tip of Bahrain, serving private boats and yachts.

Durrat Al Bahrain is a man-made island development at the far south of Bahrain. Its marina sits at the centre of three of the islands. When it was announced, the marina was planned to berth more than 400 boats from 10 m up to 70 m superyachts, with ART Marine advising on development and operations.

A subsidiary, the Durrat Marina Yacht Club Company, was set up to develop and manage the marina and its services. A 2014 report said 113 berths were due to begin operating in the first phase. Current berth numbers are not published.

For visitors, the marina area is a base for sailing, jet skiing and private yacht trips. Bahrain's tourism authority lists Durrat Al Bahrain among the spots where jet ski operators work. The Hawar Resort boat also leaves from Durrat. Durrat is a gated community, so plan access ahead. Combine a visit with Bahrain Wake at Murjan Atoll 2 or a boat to Hawar.
