Zallaq is a village on the west coast of Bahrain, in the Southern Governorate, between Bahrain International Circuit and the sea. The old village keeps a fishing character, with many boats moored along its shore, while the coast to the north and south has been developed with resorts and private estates, including royal palaces.

The main beach resort is the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa, with 262 rooms, a private beach and a thalassotherapy spa. Day passes and water sports on the Zallaq coast are mostly sold through resorts and beach operators rather than at open public beaches.

The shallow, sheltered water suits paddling, kayaking and sailing, and the coast faces west, so sunsets over the Gulf of Bahrain are the big draw. Snorkelling is possible off some resort beaches. The large public beach at Bilaj Al Jazayer, a short drive south, has been closed for works since April 2026. Gravity Village, Janat Dilmun water park and Bahrain International Circuit are all close by.
