Durrat Al Bahrain

درة البحرين

A chain of reclaimed atolls, petal islands and a crescent at Bahrain's far southern tip, with villas, beaches, a marina and the boat link to Hawar.

About Durrat Al Bahrain

Durrat Al Bahrain is a large reclaimed island development at the south-eastern tip of Bahrain. The plan is built around a crescent-shaped central island, ring-shaped atolls with sheltered lagoons and fish-shaped petal islands, giving many homes a private stretch of water or beach.

The project is owned by Durrat Khaleej Al Bahrain Company, a joint venture between the Government of Bahrain and Kuwait Finance House. Homes include villas on the atolls and petals and apartments, and the community has beaches, a marina and water sports.

Its location sets it apart from the rest of the south. It is the furthest residential community from Manama, which brings quiet, open water views and little traffic, but also longer drives for school runs and commuting. Many owners use it as a weekend or holiday home.

Since January 2025 Durrat has also been the gateway to Hawar Resort by Mantis. Guests check in at the Durrat Al Bahrain Welcome Pavilion and take a boat across to the Hawar Islands. The pavilion sits at the edge of the community, so resort guests do not need to drive through the residential islands.
