Bahrain's national racecourse between Riffa and Sakhir opens its 50th-anniversary season on 30 October 2026 with evening racing on turf.

The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, REHC, was set up by decree in 1977 as Bahrain's sole racing authority. In 1981 it moved to a purpose-built site between Riffa and Sakhir. Racing is run under the Bahrain Turf Club brand, with turf racing tracks, a 2,000 metre sand training track, stables, quarantine barns, an equine swimming pool and a veterinary clinic.

For spectators, race days are evening meetings with grandstands that overlook the track and parade ring. The Turf Village hospitality area adds food and family entertainment. Major fixtures include the Bahrain International Trophy, the Crown Prince's Cup Festival, the King's Cup Festival, the Bahrain Turf Series for international runners and the Future Stars Series for Bahrain-bred horses.

The 2026 to 2027 season is the club's 50th, with 30 meetings from 30 October 2026 to 16 April 2027. On 13 November the Bahrain International Trophy runs as a Group 1 race for the first time, worth 1.5 million US dollars, alongside the new Bahrain Long Distance Cup. The Crown Prince's Cup Festival is on 28 and 29 January and the King's Cup Festival on 4 and 5 March 2027.
