Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship

About Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship

The Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship is Bahrain's professional golf event on the DP World Tour, formerly the European Tour. It is played on the Montgomerie Course at the Royal Golf Club in Riffa Views and forms part of the tour's International Swing through the Gulf each January and February.

The 2027 edition, the fourth, runs from 28 to 31 January 2027. It follows the Hero Dubai Desert Classic and comes before the Qatar Masters, so many of the same players move between the events. Spectators can follow groups around the course and watch the finish at the 18th.

The first edition in 2024 was won by Dylan Frittelli of South Africa. Laurie Canter of England won in 2025 and Freddy Schott of Germany in 2026, receiving the trophy from the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Bahrain Olympic Committee and the DP World Tour have a partnership keeping the event on the schedule until at least 2036, with Royal Golf Club confirmed for 2027 and 2028.

The event suits golf fans, families and anyone who wants to see tour players up close in pleasant winter weather. Practice and pro-am days earlier in the week are quieter. Check official channels nearer the date for ticket, parking and spectator details.
