Bahrain Drag Racing Championship

About Bahrain Drag Racing Championship

The Bahrain Drag Racing Championship 2026-27 is run by the Bahrain Drag Racing Commission on Bahrain International Circuit's quarter-mile drag strip in Sakhir, which is part of the US-based NHRA Worldwide Network. The season has five rounds, opening on 24 to 27 November 2026 and closing with the finale on 23 to 26 March 2027.

Racers compete in eight categories: Outlaw Four-Cylinder, Outlaw Six-Cylinder, Pro 29.5, Index 10.0, Index 9.0, Index 8.5, Index 4.8 and the new Pro Limit class. Alongside the championship titles, winners compete for Wally trophies, which are awarded only at NHRA-sanctioned events. The sporting regulations are published by the Bahrain Motor Federation.

The series suits fans of fast street-based machinery and anyone who enjoys the noise and short, sharp head-to-head racing of a drag strip. Each round runs over several days, finishing with race day. Spectator details are published by Bahrain International Circuit, so check bahraingp.com before you go.
