About Dar Al Riffa Al Ouda
Dar Al Riffa Al Ouda is a Bahraini folk troupe whose story began in the 1950s in a simple palm-frond shed where local residents gathered for music and conversation. Over time it grew into a community hub, and a community centre was later established during the reign of the late Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
For this evening the band performs a selection of heritage songs and rhythms, including Al Samri and Al Mjailisi. The group is also known for folk arts such as Dagg Al Habb, Ardha and Fjiri, which it has performed in Bahrain and abroad.
