Dar Shabab Al Riffa Band

About Dar Shabab Al Riffa Band

Dar Shabab Al Riffa Band is a Bahraini folk group founded in the 1970s. For more than five decades it has performed and preserved the kingdom's traditional arts. On 7 November 2026 it plays Dar Al Riffa, one of Bahrain's traditional music houses, as part of the 35th Bahrain International Music Festival organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.

Expect traditional styles such as Al Darza, Al Marboo'a and Al Mujailisi, performed with percussion and voices in the intimate setting of a folk house. The festival runs through October and November, with folk nights at Dar Al Riffa and Dar Al Muharraq. Dar Al Budaiya Al Janabiya follows at Dar Al Riffa on 21 November.

The evening suits anyone curious about Bahraini heritage music, families and visitors looking for a local cultural night in Riffa rather than a large concert. Festival doors open at 7pm and performances begin at 8pm, so arrive early to settle in before the band starts.
