About Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2027
The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix opens the 24-race 2027 world championship at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir from 12 to 14 March. It is the seventh time Bahrain has hosted the season opener, and the following weekend the series moves to Saudi Arabia.
For the first time, the Bahrain weekend uses the Sprint format, one of 10 Sprints on the 2027 calendar, so there is competitive F1 action on all three days. 2027 is the second season under the current regulations, and it comes two weeks after pre-season testing at the same circuit from 24 to 27 February.
The support programme includes the season-opening rounds of both the FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3 championships. BIC sells tickets for grandstands including the Main, Turn 1, Beyon, University and Victory stands. The weekend suits motorsport fans of all levels, families and visitors combining the race with a short break in Bahrain.
