About Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge
The Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge (BRMC) is the kingdom's national karting championship, raced at Bahrain International Karting Circuit, the grassroots facility of Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. The 2026-27 calendar, released by the Bahrain Motor Federation, has eight rounds. The first two ran on 10 and 16 October, and the remaining rounds fall on 21 November, 5 and 12 December, 9 and 22 January and the finale on 5 February 2027.
The karting circuit is a 1.414 km CIK-FIA track. In recent seasons the BRMC has been contested across five Rotax categories: Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX and DD2 MAX, which takes drivers from young beginners through to senior and gearbox racers. Reserve dates of 10 and 17 April 2027 are also on the federation calendar in case rounds need to move.
The series suits motorsport fans, families with children interested in karting, and anyone curious to see how future circuit racers start out. Race days are relatively informal, and in past seasons entrance to the karting circuit has been free. Check Bahrain International Circuit's website for timings on each race day.
