About Bahrain Turf Series
The Bahrain Turf Series is a set of turf races run through the winter at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, the home of Bahrain racing. For the 2026 to 2027 season it expands from 12 to 14 races, with a new mile division joining the existing sprint and middle-distance programmes.
Rounds are staged on 18 December 2026, 2 January, 28 January and 18 February 2027, with the series concluding on 4 March 2027 at the King's Cup Festival, where three handicaps worth $100,000 each are run. The 28 January round falls on the first day of the Crown Prince's Cup Festival.
The 2026 to 2027 season is the club's Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years since it was established in 1977. Howden has sponsored the series since its launch and has renewed as platinum sponsor for three more seasons. The series suits racegoers, families and visitors who want a taste of Bahrain's racing scene across the cooler months.
