Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Cup
The Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup is a feature race day of the 2026 to 27 Bahrain season, held in Riffa on 18 February 2027.
About Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Cup
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup is one of the named feature races on the Bahrain racing calendar, run by the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) at its track in Riffa. The 2027 running takes place on Thursday 18 February, between the Crown Prince's Cup in late January and the King's Cup festival in early March.
The same card includes a round of the Bahrain Turf Series, which has grown from 12 to 14 races this season with a new mile division alongside the sprint and middle-distance races. The series runs from 18 December to its finale on 4 March, so the February meeting is one of the last chances for horses to earn their place before the finals.
The 2026 to 27 season marks 50 years of REHC, founded in 1977, and features 30 meetings from 30 October 2026 to 16 April 2027. The calendar also includes the Bahrain International Trophy, now a Group 1 race, in November. Race days suit racing fans, families and visitors who want to see local and international horses compete in the south of Bahrain.
