About Spring of Culture 2027
Spring of Culture is Bahrain's annual arts and culture festival, running for around two decades and a fixed part of the kingdom's cultural calendar. In May 2026 the organisers announced a temporary pause for the year, following an earlier postponement of the 20th edition, and said the festival would make its official return in 2027.
Recent editions have been led by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre and the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research. Programmes have mixed orchestral concerts, ballet, Arab and international music, family plays, art exhibitions, heritage tours, talks and workshops.
The 19th edition ran in January and February 2025 at venues including Bahrain National Theatre, Bahrain National Museum, Cultural Hall, Muharraq heritage houses and private galleries, with large concerts at Al Dana in Sakhir. The festival suits residents and visitors interested in music, theatre and art. This page will be updated once 2027 dates are published.
