About Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain 2026

The Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain is the FIA World Endurance Championship round held at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. The 2026 race was scheduled as the season finale on 6 and 7 November 2026, but it has been cancelled and will not take place this year.

Le Mans Endurance Management announced the decision on 28 July 2026, citing the current situation across the Middle East. The Qatar round was cancelled at the same time, and the final two rounds moved to Europe, with the 6 Hours of Barcelona and a 6 Hours of Monza season finale. BIC chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said the circuit supported the decision.

The cancellation does not affect Bahrain's place on the nine-round 2027 calendar. The FIA WEC said the Bahrain race will close the 2027 season on 6 November 2027, and the ACO said it remains fully committed to returning. Ticket and hospitality holders for 2026 are being refunded automatically.
